exporting hands

Hey ive been datamining only using one database which is getting big.
Im trying to export my own hands to a seperate file so i can reimport into a seperate database but i either get a message saying the file needs to be .xls (which it already is) or when i go to the summAry tab and click on "show my stats" all my stats then seperate.
Is their a guide other than the "help" section in regards to exporting files?

I assume you are speaking about PokerTracker 2.

Go Utilities->Export Hand Histories to File which will allow you to filter your hands and export them. Unfortunately, I do not think there is a way to only export a certain players hands...

FWIW, you may need to replicate your entire database then do an advanced purge via Utilities->Database Maintenance & Options, "Advanced Purge" button. This will allow you to purge all of your observed hand histories...

- Select "My Stats" on left pane
- Preferences tab; Remove all filters
- Games Notes tab; Get All
- Games Notes tab; Export...
