Importing Poker Tracker 2 hands in PT3 problem

when I try and import heres what I get.... * Unable to login to database (template 1). Reason : FATAL: password authentication failed for user "postgres"

Was your database successfully created when you first launched PT3? Are you able to import hands? It sounds like you have entered an invalid password for your database user named "postgres" (which is the default username). Do you remember your password? I would go into Database->Database Management and try creating a new database with the correct user/pass.

Well its letting me create new databases with my user/pass... but eaven with the new database I still get same error

Go Start->Program Files->PostgreSQL->Configuration Files->Edit pg_hba.conf

Scroll to the bottom and change "md5" to "trust". File->Save. Then go Start->Program Files->PostgreSQL->Reload Configuration

This will modify PostgreSQL so no password is required.
