It looks like all imported hands of an aliased player go under the player id of the main player. Is that correct?

Yes, that's the way it's supposed to work.

Would it be possible to create alias name that is not an actual player, but for example I would create alias "mofo" and place all my real screen names under that alias?

No, that is not possible.

Then maybe craft a made-up hand history with the "alias" as hero, and import that one hand? :)
