Call PFR Not Steal stat

Postby rebornok » Wed Sep 17, 2008 8:35 pm

Hi!
I made Call PFR Not Steal stat:
((cnt_p_pfr_call+cnt_bb_steal_raise+cnt_bb_steal_fold+cnt_sb_steal_raise+cnt_sb_steal_fold-cnt_steal_def_opp_bb-cnt_steal_def_opp_sb)/(cnt_p_pfr_call_opp-cnt_steal_def_opp_bb-cnt_steal_def_opp_sb))*100
It should display how often a player calls not stealing preflop raise.
And quite often this stat becomes 200, 150 or even 300% during the game (for players with not many hands in db). And it often grows up after somebody steal blids of this players.
For example, the Stat was 100%, Player on BB and folds to steal and the Stat becomes 200%.
It's difficult to test it because sometimes everything is ok, sometimes not.
Do you have any ideas?

It looks like you're adding up lots of things that aren't mutually exclusive.
You would be better to create a new column to count the hands where certain cases are true, rather than adding together several columns which are already counts.

I understood! The mistake is that in (A-B)/(C-D) sometimes becomes B>A. And 200, 300% is negative numbers.
