Position off the Button

Does holdem_hand_player_statistics.position give me the position OTB for a 10-handed table even when just 6 players are in the hand ?

So the SB is always 9, BB 8. What about HU ? I'd guess the button will be 0 and the BB will be 8 ?

The position is relative to how many players there are at the table. So a 10 seat table with 6 players will get the same values for position as a 6 seat table with 6 players.

I'm pretty sure the SB and BB are always 9 and 8, regardless of it either of them is the button.
