steal defense opportunities?

Postby mikew » Fri Feb 06, 2009 8:32 pm

am i missing something? i'm in the config stats, under the player statistics section.

there are separate columns for the number of times the sb or bb has steal defense opportunities separately defined as cnt_steal_def_opp_bb and cnt_steal_def_opp_sb respectively.

for example,

cnt_steal_def_opp_bb

Code: Select all
sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_def_opp AND holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_b, 1, 0])

however there is no available info for the times you have a defense opportunity in EITHER the sb or the bb combined? so if i wanted to create a new column "cnt_steal_def_opp" would the code just simply remove the check for sb or bb as so?

Code: Select all
sum(if[holdem_hand_player_statistics.flg_blind_def_opp, 1, 0])

from the big picture, i'm looking to create my own stat for the times a player 3 bets preflop only when facing a steal. but i figure i need this info first. or should i just check for each the sb and bb separately and then sum the two?

edit:
whoops, are these already defined as cnt_sb_steal_raise and cnt_bb_steal_raise?

also, programming control issue:
just because these columns are "Protected" does not mean that the fields should be completely disabled. by disabling the fields, you are not able to copy and paste them. "Protected" should just make the fields un-editable.

Yes, that's right - if you want a count of all steal def opps just duplicate one of those columns and remove the check for which blind it is.

That's right - you can either sum these two, or build your own new column as above with the blind check removed.

I agree and I'm pretty sure I've made this point to the development team before, but I'll remind them about it just to make sure.
