Stop cache

Postby rabbitlover » Thu Aug 28, 2008 5:42 pm

I have a problem in I have been trying to make some changes in PAHud.
I previously had it set to auto update the cache; but now since I am playing with it I would like to temporarily disable that feature, but everytime I open PAH it starts the update. I could just let it finish, but that is about 12 hours across 4 db, and I would really like to complete what I am trying first (have it read across network).

Any file I can go into and change a setting so it does not go straight into auto update on me?

Thanks

C:\Program Files\PokerAce Hud\Data\Config\PAHud.cfg

Search for 'cache' and change the Y to an N in the appropriate place (sorry, I haven't used PAH on this new PC so the cache line isn't in my config file).

This is a .cfg file, not a text file. How do you open it?

Thanks

Nevermind, I figured out I can open it with a text editor, but it is probably best to open these with Wordpad and not Notepad, as Wordpad keeps the formatting.

Thanks again.

No, you need to keep it as a plain text file, so notepad is safest. Wordpad should work fine though, just don't add any formatting to the file.
