PT error "win1252 has no equivalent in utf8"

I get something along these lines: "win1252 has no equivalent in utf8," when I am uploading tournament summaries from my pop3 email into PT. It doesn't happen with every email, it has only happened with 3-4, but it is annoying because I have to telnet into my pop3 account and manually search for the message, delete it, and that tournament summary does not get uploaded into my database. any ideas?

Open the Utilities > PostgreSQL Settings window. What is the value you have selected in the "ODBC Entry To Use" field?

It should be PostgreSQL Unicode. Change that setting and save the changes.

Then go to the File > Maintain Database Names window and find the entry that belongs to this current PostgreSQL db that gives the error. Is the "Dflt" box checked next to that entry?

If it is:

Click the Add button.
Enter a new description/name.
Check the "Dflt" box.
In the last field choose "Select existing PostgreSQL database" from the list.
Reselect this same PostgreSQL database name you are having issues with now.
Now click the OK button to save the changes and close the window.
THEN CLOSE AND REOPEN PT and you should be able to import again without those errors.
