ptrack.mdb needs to be repaired error

Postby RPatterson » Thu Aug 28, 2008 4:19 pm

Hi, when I open pokertracker I get "Database C:/Program Files (x86)/Poker Tracker V2/ptrack.mdb needs to be repaired." followed by an "invalid argument" box that alternate until I click cancel on both when I get "Unable to connect to the database -1206- SQLSTATE =$1000...". This also comes up when I go to repair a database and the program winds up forcing me to close. I've been unable to import hand histories or get hud to display since. Thanks.

With Poker Tracker closed, try repairing the database following the steps listed here:

Thanks for the quick response. In my system dsn section there is no PTRack entry, it is just empty. I have windows vista if that matters. Thanks!

Open the ODBC window, System DSN tab, click the Add button.
Select "Microsoft Access (*.mdb)" as the driver.
On the next window enter a description like "PTRACK_REPAIR" and then click the Select button and choose the ptrack.mdb file from the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder. Save all the changes. Then you can try to repair that database file manually.

Have you been making backups of your db file? If not then I would recommend then to rebuild your database using the steps listed in the 4th thread of this post...
