hand history problem after emailing a database !!!

I am a member of a group of players on 2+2 forum that exchange hand histories every month with some other member for a review. What I usually do is import HH (200 hands) into PT2 and as I replay the hands I write notes in the replayer window which are saved later.
When I send back reviewed hands to my partner I send him a .mdb file where those hand were imported and notes saved. The problem is when we link that emailed file to a certain database in PT on a new computer, all hands are there and all the notes are there but there is no hand history when trying to replay a hand again. What are we missing here?

The text of the hand histories are saved in a separate database file, the hhdb.mdb file. You have to send that file as well and the other person has to put it on their computer in a separate folder and use the Utilities > Database Maintenance and Options window, Hand History DB's tab to link to that file.

Thanks for a quick reply, I looked in my PT directory and that file hhdb.mdb is huge, is there a way to keep one small file like that just for the purpose of hand exchange thing?

The only way would be for you to do what is detailed in the first part of this FAQ

Which is what people have to do once their hand history db maxes out which is basically to rename the hhdb.mdb file and download a new blank file to start using.
