my pt2 caught a virus

my pt2 caught a virus, back door trojan, was spotted by avg scanner, so i panicked and uninstalled it, and re installed it.
obviously i lost my entire database, is there any way to re install it, i had 250k hands.

There was never any virus in the program, see here

i have re installed pt2, but ob my old database have been erased, can i retrieve it at all?

Did you uninstall the program before you reinstalled it? If you didn't uninstall it the database files should not have been touched at all.

yeah i uninstalled pt, not the database files, for a techno retard, how do i load them up again pls

If you uninstalled PT then you also uninstalled the database file. There was no reason to do this.
Go to the c:\program files\poker tracker v2 folder. Are there files there called ptrack_backup.mdb and hhcopy.mdb ?

yeah ptbackup and hhdb it says, im on vista, theres an image of a key over the files which i presume mean they are locked, it says they are read only files
