PT Error

Postby tercet » Sun May 25, 2008 7:30 pm

This afternoon I was compacting db then went away for a few hours, came back with my computer turned off. So I assumed that the compact didn't fully work.

I'm pretty sure my db is corrupted or something along those lines. But whenever I try to open PAHUD or convert hands into the DB this error comes up.

Error while trying to determine if tournament game # 17689653962 has already been recorded (1). The error was: -1206 - SQLSTATE = S1000
[Microsoft][ODBC Microsoft Access Driver] Cannot open database '|'. It may not be a database that your application recognizes, or the file may be corrupt.

Assertion Failed!

I get this error when trying to repair/compact database.

ptrack2.exe File z:\common\inc\safestrfuncs.h
Line 143

Expression S_OK == hr

With Poker Tracker closed, try repairing the database following the steps listed here:

If you compacted the database again, after you got this error, then the backup file that was created when you did the first compact would have been overwritten and is now likely corrupted too. Have you made any backups of your database files before?

You don't have that many hands in the current database, an Access database wouldn't hold that many hands. It usually only will hold 250,000 before it gets to 2gb which is the max file size of an Access db.

You could try converting to PostgreSQL as detailed here

Ive done all the parts you guys had in your FAQ except one part.

When I am setting up the Postgre SQL Settings their is no option for ODBC Entry to use. Did I miss something or what?

Did you install PostgreSQL 8.3? If so, see here
