Problem transferring database to a new computer

Hi,

I'm trying to transfer a database from my old computer to my new computer. I'm using Poker Tracker V2 on both computers. As instructed in the documentation, I copied the "ptrack.mdb" and "hhdb.mdb" files from my old computer to the Poker Tracker V2 file on the new computer. However, when I open Poker Tracker, it doesn't seem to be recognizing this database.

As an experiment, I tried deleting all of the .MDB files from the Poker Tracker V2 folder, and yet Poker Tracker still loads hands (the hands I've played on the new computer). So I think the database it's pulling from must be located in a different location, but I can't imagine where it would be.

Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Jack

Then you must have installed PT in a different folder on the new PC. Find the icon that you use to run PT on the new computer. Right click it and select Properties on the menu that pops up. Look at the Target field. That will tell you in which folder the program is installed. Move the files from the old PC to that folder.

I double-checked, and I was looking in the right folder (the folder to which the target points). Any other ideas?

Thanks.

Are you using Vista? If so are you always running the program as administrator? If not you need to be.
