Can not change my player id permanently

I used to play on everest so my played id was set to my name on Everest, now I play on stars and when I try to change my player id it works only until I close the tournament view window, next time I check tournaments my id is back to my id on Everest. I have auto-save enabled, I have pressed edit/save, nothing helped so far.

Go to the Preferences tab and change your name near the bottom of the screen.

That's what I do, it has worked before, but not anymore. It works only until I close the "tournament player statistics", next time I open it, I'm back to the old name.
