Could you zip up and send us the file that took the longest via the support system? That would help us investigate more effectively for you then.

Ok....I will zip it.

Also I attached a jpeg here...it shows the file 44 and that it took 20 minutes..but why I'm attaching the pic is cause I was wondering...usually I assume that it will only abort import after a file is completely imported...but as you can see in the pic...I did import file44 again and it say that it imported 449 hands from that file...so my question here...why is this adjusting session stakes and updating cache take place in the middle of a file import...is it cause this txt file maybe had 6max and nitring in it and updating will take place after a certain amount of hands no matter the import file?

By the way...I have NO clue why I'm importing with 83 hands per second now...I did not change a thing except the new DB...the only thing I can think of is that with the previous imports I had HM2 in use too and now I only have HM1 in use...but not sure thats a valid reason.

Updating happens during the import process and it's necessary that it happens at that time so that we can avoid houskeeping entirely in PT4.

You mean pt4 has to update the cache halfway thro an import as in "housekeeping", so really the imports are still gonna take an age. Just imported 6 k hands @ 157 h/s in 39 seconds but i cannot start importing from another file as it says "Error:Manual import is already running" although pt4 says the import is complete? also the little arrow in the bottom corner is greyed out, does the notetracker have to complete its note making before i can import from another file?

1. my nevermind post was meant that I made a post that was no longer valid...so I typed "nevermind"...the actual "problem/question" is stil there...so as sonic asked...does the housekeeping take place during a file import?

2. Also I noticed the problem sonic mentioned to...I got the message that the import is complete but its still doing some updating apparently so its a little misleading when you get a messge that says that something is finished but in reality isnt.

well its around 20mins since last post but still can't import from another file, ok just tried to close pt4 but it says pt cannot close while getting hands, please stop the import before closing but the import was complete 25 mins ago, gonna have to go into task manager to stop the process and restart pt4
ok, i stopped the process and restarted pt4 and have just imported 2 files consecutively, so intermittent bug in there somewhere, imports are being completed but pt4 will not allow you to begin another import occassionally

I wouldnt do that tbh...I did it once and wanted to do it a second time but I got distracted and after some more minutes it pulled through...guess that PT4 is doing some "housekeeping" in the background...still sucks cause we dont really know and we also do not have any time estimates.

yeah, its either a bug or pt4 isn't including all the other work it has to do on the cache side of things in the "total time" remaining box, must admit i have't seen the updating cache part in my import window yet

ok on my third file import now, so must have been an intermittent bug, i was setting my hud up on a pokerstars "observed" table prior to my first file import attempt so maybe this had something to do with it
