There is normally no need to uninstall and reinstall, and that can cause complications. You will now need to fully uninstall and reinstall PostgreSQL manually - the guides are here (they're basically all the same but follow the one for the relevant version - if PT4 installed for you originally that is 9.0).

Yep couldn't get it. Downloaded latest SQL directly. It's confirmed no probs with Windows 8 right?

Yes, PostgreSQL 9.3 should work fine with Windows 8. (as should any of the recent versions which we support)
