Notes takes after serious delay...

Postby dutch81 » Tue Aug 11, 2015 1:54 pm

There was a hand where a player raised 88 and was called PF by 77. I have custom notes to note when a PFR was made and was called. I kept checking the Note box for the notes to be written to no avail. There were no import errors during that span. The player that opened had 2 notes by the 30th hand. After the 24th hand after the 77v88 hand took place, he had 2 notes. After the 25th hand, his notes had 12-14 .

Normally, it'd probably take 2-5 hands for notes to be written after it actually happened.

Can you give me suggestions of what might cause this?
It's definitely not a huge database of players and stats, I don't save them.
I do have about 1K custom notes in NT though.

That's a lot of custom notes, it may take a while for them all to process depending on the filters you're using. If you could recreate the problem and send us a log file via our support system we'd know more - the log tells us what is going on within NoteTracker at any given point in time.

Open User Data/Logs folder?

I'm not sure I can reproduce the error as it was the 1st time it ever took (only 150ish hands played) that long for notes to appear but I'll report back if it happens again. Before yesterday, the longest delay I've ever seen was close to 5 hands.

Just played 250 hands and the delay was about 5 hands, not close to 25 like yesterday.

Hello,

having a similar (but bigger) issue (4k+ auto notes), I'm getting players with 1000 hands & only 1 or 2 auto-notes on a new poker client. That is, after leaving Note Tracker Status processing hands during 2 nights.

Would crunching filters into half the number of auto notes speed the processing? Same number of filters, but half the auto notes number.
With this size of auto note DB, will PT4 have long processing timings no matter the computer hardware/software?
Would a software like eBoostr speed this hands processing?

Thanks

We haven't done extensive testing with note databases that large so I can't give you exact advice. What percentage of your hands got completed after letting it run overnight? You can see it in Tools -> NoteTracker -> Status.

Could you let things run with logging on for a few hours then send us a log file via our support system? That will contain timing details and should give us a better idea if there's anything other than cutting down the list that can be done.
