taking long to load

poker tracker is really slow at loading even if i just choose hands i have played today

plus i noticed a lot of documents poker tracker has saved. do i need all these for poker tracker to work properly

This can depend on many factors including the speed of your computer and the size of your database. Can you tell us what your computer specs are, and how big your database is (you can see the latter in Database > Database Management)?
Are all reports slow or just some of them? Different reports access different amounts of data and some can be slower than others.
If your computer is reasonably fast and all reports are slow you could try rebuilding the cache via Database > Database Management > Rebuild Cache > Full Cache Rebuild - be prepared for this to take several hours if you have a large database.
If you open a Support Ticket and report your problem we'll take a look at your logs and see if there is an indication of what causes any delays.

What do you mean by "documents PokerTracker has saved"? What type of files are these, and where are they?

hey thanks. I'm not to good with all this technical stuff so hope i answer correctly. :oops:

My data base is 1606 mb
2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz
Have 854.9 free of 999.35gb storage

Sorry i don't think the documents are from poker tracker. I play on PS and have "save my tournament summaries" ticked

and also "save my hand history" ticked in the playing history tab of the setting. They are all txt Documents just save in all my files.

There is over 2000 of them which could possibly be slowing it down but I'm not sure.

Not sure if this is a fast enough computer either :oops:

We create a subfolder in Documents to store your processed hands. These hands have already been imported into PT4 and aren't in active use so won't slow anything down. We don't delete them so that you have access to them should you need them for backup or troubleshooting purposes.
